BIKE TRAIL
The topography of the eastern U.P. can generally be described as level. There are a few areas where land is rolling and few areas of sharp relief. Much of the area along the eastern U.P. bike trails are forested or wetlands. Typical state highways will have a 2-foot paved and 4-foot gravel shoulder. Minor county roads may have a small grass shoulder. Numerous islands, inland lakes, rivers, geological formations, with an abundance of wildflowers, cattails, tree canopy’s and wildlife are sure to provide an interesting yet peaceful experience from your ride through the eastern U.P.
