Cosner Nature Preserve
The trail system at Cosner & Bennet Barnes Nature preserve passes through a mixed landscape of both intact and recovering natural communities. The .4 mile loop traverses an old field. The .8 mile loop crosses several bridges and boardwalks while passing through swamp, hardwood forest and Bennet Creek. The creek flows through the preserve and empties into the Jordan River shortly after crossing the eastern property boundary. To help navigate the preserve please check out and download the Trail Map. A parking area, preserve sign, informational kiosk and trailhead are located on the east side of Highway M-66 about 2.5 miles south of East Jordan. The preserve is across the road from the Wagbo Peace Center.
