Goodhart Farms Preserve
Goodhart Farms encompasses 645 acres of meadow, hay field, pine plantation, old orchards, and hardwood forest. With views of Lake Michigan and expansive rolling terrain, this is a great place for hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding. There are 7½ miles of marked trails that range in difficulty with flat to hilly terrain. During the winter, half of the trails are groomed for cross country skiing.
The preserve has four parking areas. The parking area off of Lone Rock Rd is for horse trailers. A special "winter-only" parking lot is located at the northeast corner of the preserve off of Robinson Rd.
Note: Not all sections of each trail are approved for every activity listed for the trail as a whole. Please click on individual trail sections to see approved activities for that section.
