Little Sand Bay Preserve
The 28-acre Little Sand Bay Nature Preserve has a short trail that leads to 1,300 feet of protected Lake Michigan frontage. The property's mixed habitat includes conifer forest, cedar swamp, a marshy beach, and sand dune habitats. The .4 mile trail includes foot bridges intended to keep visitors off of the more sensitive habitats.
The preserve is located on East Side Drive, just south of Welke's airport.
