Miller Creek Nature Reserve
Located behind the Grand Traverse Crossings Mall, this 88-acre natural area is a hidden gem. Follow the trail through a diversity of landscapes, including a former red pine plantation, open meadow, beech forest, and cedar swamp. Sections of the trail run along Miller Creek, a tributary of the Boardman River.
There are two trailheads, both of which are located behind the Crossings Mall. The southern entrance is behind Office Depot; the other is off of Crossing Circle Drive, near Faith Reformed Church. The trails can also be accessed from the northwest corner of the former Sabin Elementary School property at the intersection of Hartman and Cass Roads.
Note: Not all sections of each trail are approved for every activity listed for the trail as a whole. Please click on individual trail sections to see approved activities for that section.
