The North Country Trail is a scenic hiking trail that stretches 4,600 miles from North Dakota to Vermont. The trail extends 1,150 miles through Michigan; passing through the UP, across the Straights of Mackinac, down the western side of the Lower Peninsula, and heading southeast towad Ohio across southern Michigan.
