North Higgins Lake State Park Trail
North Higgins Lake State Park is located in Roscommon County and consists of 429 acres. It offers nearly 200 campsites, modern restroom facilities, boat launches, beaches, and trails. The eleven-mile trail system consists of three trails: the 6.5 mile North Higgins-Beaver Creek Trail; the 3.8 mile North Higgins-Bosom Pines Trail; and the 1.5 mile North Higgins-Upland Nature Trail. All trails are usable for hiking and cross-country skiing. Trails are groomed in the winter, well-marked and are adjacent to the park on state forest-managed land. The Upland Nature Trail also includes a series of fitness stations.
Note: Not all sections of each trail are approved for every activity listed for the trail as a whole. Please click on individual trail sections to see approved activities for that section.
