Just a mile from the base of the Old Mission Peninsula, the open meadows and forests at Pelizzari Natural Area have become a regular destination for many Traverse City residents. The previously farmed land now offers nearly 3 miles of trails that loop through wide open fields, hardwoods, pine plantation, and old hemlock forest.
