The trail at Sleepy Hollow is easy and well marked. The forest surrounding the trail consists mostly of sugar maple, beech, and ash trees, with some aspen and hemlock. A spring-fed stream known as Sear Creek runs through the property and empties into the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix.
The natural area is located off of M-66 on Sleepy Hollow Lane (across from Phelps Rd). Parking is located on the north side of Sleepy Hollow Ln.
