Thorne Swift

Three easy trails cover 30 acres of wetlands and uplands, taking you to a pond and to the beach. This is the only preserve with a formal nature 
center and regular summer programs. A $3 parking fee per car for non-township residents (there is no charge for Conservancy members). The park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 10 am to ½ hour after sunset. West Traverse Township manages the property. Call 231-526-6401 for extended hours.
