William Mitchell State Park
William Mitchell State Park is a popular camping, fishing and boating destination. The 334-acre park is situated between Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac and provides an excellent opportunity to view a variety of wildlife on the outskirts of Cadillac. The park was officially dedicated in 1919. A historic canal connects the two lakes and runs directly through the park.
There are a variety of recreation opportunities and amenities available at the park including both rustic and developed camp sites, hiking, fishing, swimming, paddling, developed boat access, restrooms, picnic area with pavilion, sanitation station, playground, cross county skiing, and visitor center.
